Privacy policy
Last updated: November 2026
This policy explains what information QuidTools (“we”, “us”) collects when you use quidtools.co.uk, and how it is used. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information you enter into our tools
Our calculators and tools run entirely in your web browser. The numbers, text, images and other details you enter are processed on your own device and are not sent to us or stored by us.
Information stored on your device
We use your browser’s local storage to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode, and the numbers you last entered in each calculator so you don’t have to type them again. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. Tap “Start again” on a calculator, or clear your browser data, to remove it.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count visits and see which tools are popular. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not collect personal information. We also use Google Search Console, which tells us how the site appears in Google search results.
Advertising and cookies
We may show adverts provided by Google AdSense to keep the site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or learn more at how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Before any advertising cookies are used, visitors in the UK and EEA will see a consent message from a Google-certified consent tool, where you can accept, refuse or choose which cookies to allow. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Emails
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we do not share it with anyone.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Contact us at hello@quidtools.co.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
